If you put your sim card in your old phone, it will work. There is not any activation. Your sim card has the activation basically. So, when you put it in your old phone, then it automatically works.

I do this w/ my phone all the time. I have an old phone that I use when I go out riding so I don't have to take my new phone incase something happens to it. I just switch them back and forth.
