I hear that all the time and it drives me NUTS. Another one that I hear is "heidth" when they mean "height". I don't know how to spell it since it's not a real word. It's like they confuse height with width and make some sort of mutant hybrid word. Not only have I heard that from idiots, but I've also heard it from idiots on scripted tv shows. Who edits this stuff!

It is just slang, just like the youngsters have their own lingo. Most adults are aware of the proper way to say things. With someone I'm familiar and comfortable with & with whom I'm cutting up, I have used the word conversate. However, in a room of people I will choose to use the term converse.

Little one - I am not sure if you spelled it correctly or have the wrong word, but that is NOT a word and I have never heard anyone use it young or old. Yes I know what converse means, and conversely, what conversely means. GBU

I have heard the term used (rarely), but I agree that it doesn't make sense. Maybe they use it because it sounds like it should be a word (but I think it sounds silly). And, by the way, I've not heard a Black person use this word, so I don't know where this whole "black slang" thing is coming from.

I never hear that. I tried to use it but reckoned it was pretty weird so, decided to consult the dictionary and was guided well.
