I'm pretty sure if my baby is a girl we will be calling her Audrey. We currently live in the UK and a lot of people over here see it as a "lunch lady's name". We hopefully will be moving back to the US within the next few years, so that doesn't break the name for me, but I was wondering what others thought of the name. Thanks

PS- Audra is out of the question, this is for opinions on Audrey. Thanks again.

That is a name given to someone who may be percieved with high esteem.....even royalty. Intellectual....able......and most of all, elegant. Go for it!!!

I think it's a cute name! I knew a girl when I was growing up named Audrey, and I always thought it was a nice name. It's pretty and kinda unusual without being weird.

It could backfire as a name people could make a play on the word odd. Then again I guess it depends on how you raise the child. Children can be very cruel and call her odd etc. The lunch lady thing does not apply here in the US.

Audrey is a nice, classic name....like Audrey Hepburn. It is also very popular in France...which we all know is known for it's style and sophistication!

Personally, I like the name! I'm 29 weeks pregnant with boy/girl twins, and we're naming the girl Abby. I truly like Audrey.

I feel that as long as *YOU* like the name, that's what you should name *YOUR* baby. That's my husband's way of thinking, and I agree.
