Oedipus says that he would seek the killer of the king as if the king were his own father -- and, of course, the king WAS his father--Oedipus didn't find out until later.

Um, let's see... the prophet Tiresius is blind but can "see" the truth, and when Oedipus also finally sees the truth, he blinds himself.

Um.... *thinking thinking* Well, Oedipus is so completely sure of his own guiltlessness, but then he eventually realizes that it was he who did the crime that is causing the plagues upon the city.

You COULD just Google the SparkNotes for it. They already have a summary. But you should just read the thing. I mean, c'mon. There's tons of cool stuff in there. I mean, Oedipus rakes out his own eyeballs with his wife's broach (who ends up being his mom!). You just can't beat that.

Have you actually read this? You keep asking questions on it and I'm sure the instructor would appreciate it if you did your own work.

Devan answered it very well, but shouldn't you be doing your own homework?!
