I heard that the most commonly reported fear is public speaking. I am a naturally shy person, in fact I am very shy compared to many people. But why is it that public speaking is so easy for me even though I don't do this often?

You have a talent that you should develop! There is nothing wrong with being shy unless you are engaged in public speaking.

Speaking publicly scares many people because they feel as if they are very vulnerable when everyone in the same place is payig attention to them and only them. This constant attention freaks out a lot of people who don't think they can habdle the pressure of being on the spot. With you, you are comfortable around large numbers of people because you are not as personal with them as much as you might be with a friend for example.

You are one of the lucky ones. There are some people who thrive on being in the public eye. Entertainers, public speakers, etc. I would rather pat a tarrantula than speak in public.

Here's my guess -
Because it's not personal.
You're probably really shy when you have to talk to one person...But when there's a group, it's more anonymous. Obviously, they can see that it's you speaking, but considering you don't actually give up info about yourself, it's not a personal thing.

it isnt a matter of fact if you have done it a thousand times.. although that will help.. it doesnt mean that you have to suck the first for second time you do it. this just means ur good with a crowd.
