I want it to not "click" when I simply touch the "mouse"... I just want to use the buttons to click.. It's really annoying cause sometimes when I'm typing, I touch the "mouse" and it clicks somewhere else...

Thanks in advance!

If you have a standard PC, 2-button mouse, you can adjust the Mouse settings in Control Panel. If it is clicking every time you touch it, though, it sounds like it's on the blink.

A Mac mouse click by pressing the whole body of the mouse down. You can also adjust settings in System Preferences.

I assume you have a Windows laptop in which case you should go to system preferences or system settings and click on the icon pertaining to mouse things. You should find an option that is selected that when you tap the track pad it reads it as a click. Uncheck this option and you're good to go!

Are you using a mouse or the touchpad on the laptop? If your touchpad clicks when touched, it may be defective. Try connecting a USB mouse to your laptop and use that. If you are already using a mouse try a different mouse.

Check to see if your warranty is still good. You could call the company who's computer it is and they may send you a new mouse.

My keyboard broke so I called Dell and they sent me new one in couple of days.

Note: Do you have a LAPTOP? If you do, that's a whole different story. The laptops are meant to be like that so you don't necessaryly have to "click"; you could just tap the mouse instead.

Hope this helps!

I think you are refering to the touchpad. I found that to be annoying myself. I solved that problem by using an external mouse. You can also find the touchpad settings and disable the tap click.
