I don't know how far along you are in your pregnancy or the circumstances of how you became pregnant, but no matter the circumstance, there a bunch of hormones running through your body right now. That alone can make a big differance in your attitude about your pregnancy.
I am sure you will love your baby. There are some woman that don't fully LOVE ( you know that whole mother child thing) until they look at baby for the first time face to face (its called effacement)
I am sure there are other things going on in your life right now too. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you have healthy baby.

I don't know. I think I speak for most in saying that you should be happy and relieved that she is excited. I got pregnant at 16 and I was threatened out of keeping my baby. I am 21 now and I wish every day that I had had the support of my parents. Enjoy it- let your mom get excited because you are going to need her.
In answer to 'Child of God', young girls are having babies because they just make bad decisions. However, it is not condemnation that they need, but help and support. I am a Christian youth worker now, and the reason that I do my job is to help young people. Perhaps as Christians (I guess you are a Christian) we need to not judge others but to love and accept them as Jesus did and does.

I think I would be pretty excited too when I would find out my daughter is having a baby. Even if she was 16...yeah I would be mad at first..lol, but Then happy because it is going to be my grandchild....So I can understand . You will be happier when the baby comes and you are holding him.

Well, in my opinion, your mom can be happy that she's going to have a baby in the house. She knows how wonderful it is to have a baby.
As for you, you aren't mature enough to carry on such responsibilities. You still have 4 years to go before you are a legal adult, and even then some people feel like that have long ways to go before they reach that level. You still need to go through so much and a baby at this point isn't something that you want.
Trust me, when you have that baby, you'll be happy. When you give birth, and you spend time with your baby, you'll see how beautiful it is to be a mother.

Your mom is probably happier than you because you'll be bringing another miracle into the world too.
You should look at it that way also.
At 16,having a kid will be tough and require lots of sacrificing, but you should consider yerself lucky to have such a loving & understanding mom.

Yes, this is very normal just so you know I was excited about having a baby not as much as my parents... I dont think that we will figure out how much a grandchild matter till we have them.. my parents love my son to death and I just cant belive it I think that you will be much more excited when the baby comes thats how I was.

well since you're 16 it may seem hard, but when (or if) you get pregnant when you are older, then you should be happier. but it doesn't matter who's happier because YOU are having the son, not you're mom. you both should be happy

well no -- you must be terrified. it is perfectly normal for you to be less than excited about the baby. afterall, he will completely change your entire life. you mom is so right though -- a baby is an amazing thing. just stick it out, the beginning is tough. but you will fall madly in love with your baby, and you will never regret having him in your life. be thankful your mother is so supportive and there to help you! good luck!!

Not really, your only 16. You shouldn't be having a baby, sorry but that's my thoughts. Your mom may be looking forward to being a grandmother. I'm surprised she's so cool about it you're very lucky.
