I don't think I have a really good answer to this question but, I did meet a girl some years ago and we have become very good friends. When I met this woman from the Dominican Republic she was tan and had short hot pink hair standing up on her head. I told here she should learn how to throw knives, it would make her that much hotter then she already is. Oh' she does smoke too.

Hilary Swank played a marvelous femme fatale (dangerous woman) in Black Dahlia. But you have to take the blinders off and realize that all femme fatales don't look like Jessica Rabbit: Glenn Close-Fatal Attraction Angelica Houston-Prizzi's Honor Angelina Jolie-Tomb Raider/Mr. & Mrs. Smith Nicole Kidman-To Die For Sharon Stone-Basic Instincts ... I could go on.

The way men objectify and idealize women makes me want to shoot a guy in the belly just to watch him die... I'm certain that there are women who share traits with your 'femme fatale', but you can't generalize a personality like that. Damn. I mean - it's great that you're not asking for a submissive little helpmeet, but give me a friggin' break!

Based on this description from Wilki, I say they still exist.
"who deceptively misleads and ensnares the hapless hero and/or other males in order to gain some end they would not freely help her achieve.
The phrase is French for "deadly woman", or "fatal woman". The femme fatale will generally try to achieve her hidden purpose by using her feminine wiles (beauty, charm, sexual skill), and thus she is typically portrayed as exceptionally well-endowed with these qualities. However, in some situations, lying or coercion can be just as effective."

no its not a myth in film or in real life. Maybe a few goths, though most wouldn't do it. The type of women who would o that is one who would've experienced much sadness and grief at the hands of a male. maybe one who suffered through alchool abuse or drug addiction?
in film noir, many women are dark and tougher than women in other generes.

There is a word for what you are describing....sociopath. And while it may look glamourous in the movies, in real life she would probably just as soon shoot YOU than anyone else.

Yes... ME... just kidding I love boys.... however, I am sure there are people like that out there somewhere, considering that there are really people who eat other people as well as people who rape little children before they kill them.
