While I am concerned that she isn't grabbing things. The most important thing is that she is changing and doing new things.
Every Monday (or whatever) sit down for a bit and ask yourself what she is doing that she wasn't doing last week. What is she doing better. Is she stronger. How is she different than last month.
Babies develop in their own way in their own time.
However, you must provide her with opportunities to learn new skills. Sitting in a swing, bouncy chair, stroller, car seat, or lying on the floor do NOT provide her with opportunities to learn to sit. And except for lying down they offer limited opportunity to learn to grab things.
To help her learn to sit sit her in a reclined seat and gently lift her by holding her hands. This will strengthen her back and neck. After awhile try sitting her up in a non reclined seat, such as a couch or highchair (staying near her in case she falls). Hold her in your lap sitting upright providing the minimal support possible, first by holding her first by the chest, then by her hands.
IF your baby ever starts loosing skills she once had OR you feel something is wrong GO TO A DOCTOR.

don't be too nerve-racking. each and every infant has their personal %.. a chum of the relations had a granddaughter that had 5 tooth, might want to move slowly, and held her personal bottle through 6 months previous. that is all about how your infant works ingredient out for themselves and how you're encouraging them to. there are this kind of large style of elements: Does the baby get alot or little or no tummy time? Do you inspire her to achieve for toys at a distance? Do you enable her carry her personal bottle or cup? change into she pre-mature? Alot of little ones bypass crawling all jointly and bypass immediately to walking. some take until eventually 9 months to move slowly, and some take until eventually a million a million/2 years to stroll. be affected human being and inspire her.

All babies do develop at different rates. Just to be on the safe side, have her pediatrician evaluate her. My daughter has a disability and is enrolled in an early intervention program, so I know the importance of getting help early. Your pediatrician can give you some advice on some ways to help encourage your daughter to do these things. Sometimes that all it takes is just a little encouragement.

Children develop at their own pace, sitting up isnt an issue, but I would be a little more concerned about the not grabbing things but its probably just her temprement, she is less interested in grabbing things and would rather observe them.

I have 2 boys (2yrs & 10mnths). The first one never really sat on his own. He went from crawling to walking and never sat up. I thought it was weird too. But now my second one has been sitting up since he was 6 months old. Both boys have developed so differently. Don't worry about it. She's fine. Good Luck!

most babies dont sit alone until at least 6 months, so your baby is probably just fine. although grabbing things usually comes a bit earlier than that... talk to your pediatrition, he will be able to give you a personal answer that best suits your baby, and he can tell you things to keep an eye out for in her developement. but relax, every baby is different!!

My daughter could not sit by herself at 7mo old. Last Christmas I remember having to prop her up to open presents. She did however grab and play with toys. If you have any doubts about her motor skills, you should take her to her physician.

Not all babies develop at the same pace. How spoiled is your baby? That may have a lot to do with it. If she is used to being held and cuddled all the time, then it will take her some time to get used to get the hang of it. I wouldn't be concerned if her doctor doesn't seem concerned. Unless she is like really far behind other 7 month old babies that you know.

My baby cousin is juss like that.
It is very normal for a baby to do that.
Wait a month for hur to begin holdin" on to things.
Or u could try holding on to hur hands and try to make hur walk or try making her sit by hurself and put to pillows by her sides and juss in case sit in front of hur and check if shii is sitting down betta".
