meaning the old ECW was cool because it was totally seperate and gritty and edgy apart from WWE. I mean they could have some wrestlers switch, but like Big Show, did he ever really leave Raw? He is on there every other week. When people like Sandman and Sabu and CM Punk arent ever on Raw, (except for last week )and shouldnt be on there. I just think if it got its own fan base it would work better and not just seem like the C Team for WWE right behind Smackdown and Raw. Does anyone agree?

I agree, they should keep the shows seperate then once a year have an ECW V.S. WWE pay per view. this idea would work way better. I mean what is up with the hardys being on all three shows in one week. I really like them but they where on ECW, RAW, AND probably will be on smackdown since Matt is apart of that show

I think you mean would ECW be better if they did not do any interpromotional and cross brand storylines and matches. If so, that wouldnt help ECW. It would still be a WWE owned company with WWE content, WWE style matches, and WWE storylines. If you mean would ECW be better if it was a seperate brand and not owned by WWE of course it would be better. I never watched ECW in the 90s but i own several DVDs that feature old ECW matches and it feels horrible to compare ECW then and now. There was no elimination chamber with four weapons, there was no kelly kelly expose, and there were no vampires and zombies. It was a smash mouth style that cult like ECW fans could appreciate, enjoy, and respect no matter how much blood there was or how much a wrestler screwed up in their match. Also if you mean could WWE own ECW but not get involved in ECW at all that wouldnt work. WWE still hires the wrestlers and decides the matches and storylines. I have learned to accept ECW because whether I like it or not WWE is just making more money than they did wiith only smackdown, raw, heat, and velocity. Hope that answered your question.

Vince McMahon has ruined ECW. It will never be as good as it was. WWE & ECW should be completely seperated. And what's with ECW rules??? If it's ECW it should ALL be done under ECW rules. Wasn't that the point of ECW in the first place, to be something different and EXTREME?? Right now they are just a mini WWE and it will stay that way until they divide the "brands" and let RVD, Sabu, and Dreamer do their own thing again.

I am just glad that TNA is developing some credibility and a bigger fan base. It gives me something decent to watch.

The fact that ECW is tagged w/ Smackdown for TV makes me not even bothering trying to get tickets for an event. Those spectators aren't wrestling fans, they are WWE fans. ECW fans were knowledgeable and knew what good wrestling was. That grittiness that ECW captured so well, is portrayed so shabily by the WWE on Sci-Fi. And they wonder why the ratings are floundering. ECW will never be the revolution of wrestling it once was as long as VKM has his hand in the kool-aid.

ECW was simply better when it was in the Hammerstein Ballroom & in Heyman's basement... they didnt need the help of WWE at all... i mean, what did WWE do for ECW??? get them a SCHITTY TIME SLOT on sci-fi?? ooohhhh wow. yeah, nice going.

it was before and few ppl watched it so no. It is a good league to send the good wrestlers with no charisma. like the big show and lashley.

I think all the so called wrestling (if you could call it that) are nothing more than immature adults with egos bigger than their biceps trying to influence people to watch grown men bash each others brains in (what little they have).

They're cool with being involved with other shows. They need more invasions maybe even invade TNA.
