YES. I was a size 10 when I got the implant and really was the worst thing I ever did. I was always concious of my weight. I dont know how it started when I put on the weight. Not sure if it increased my appetite or gave me excess fluid but when I took it out, because of other problems as well I was a size 14. Soon after I fell pregnant. She is 2 now and I am still a size 14-16. I would give anything to get to my original size 10. I hear now that if you start putting on too much weight they remove the implant. I would not recommend it to anyone and if you have it take it out. Its not worth the hassle. I think most people, once you put on the weight its so hard to get it off.

i have the IUD but dont seem to have gained weight. i think with a hormonal implant like mirena u might put weight on

Yep.I had an IUD fitted but that didn't work either and had to be surgically removed. I'm allergic to latex, so the only other option was to make my husband take responsibility. I love the freedom of whenever wherever!!!

it is very common as this is a foreign thing in the human body difrent people react diffrently to others it depends on if your body will adjust to it.
