And before the Italians, it was the Irish who were discriminated against in the eastern seaboard. And in the West Coast, it was the Chinese and the Japanese and the Filipinos. And there's slavery. And land taking from indigenous people and other nations' territories while denigrating the original inhabitants who remain. American history is loaded with ethnic exclusion and discrimination. This shouldn't be shocking.

BECAUSE you still had more rights than a black person whose family came to the USA in the 1700's. YOU could vote without proving your grandfather did EVEN though you just came off of Ellis Island.

All groups were discriminated against by WASPs, but in America, once you were white you were right and no Italian EVER got hung in America for trying to exercise their constitutional rights....especially 8th generation Italian American like 8th generation black Americans did.

BUT you are right...the USA is one of the most systematically RACIST countries EVER to exist!!!!!

as a half irish half italian ur a complete idiot my grandmas italian and shes loaded! and no one in her life ever discriminated against her! its u lazy dirty italians that give us a bad name
and yes the irish were discriminated against along with about 15 other cultures

were you ever treated as cattle? my ancestors were.
they were written in the constitution as 3/5 of a person
they were enslaved for 200 years and treated as second class citizens until about 30 years ago
