A couple of times now, I have had cramping, fever, and chills on the first day of my period. I don't think it is TSS. What causes this?

not really. some women due to hormones tend to have little fever or chills but just the first day.. especially if you have caught a cold it's normal that you are sensitive that day. if your fever is high and keeps happening you should better see a doctor

UTI and bladder infections may cause fever and chills. they have over the counter AZO cranberry pills out there that help remove the bacteria and also things to help remove the pain. if your sexually active you can get bacteria from that. best bet, see your doctor.

No, that's not normal - if you're not better tomorrow, call your doc.
