Money. First you have money, then you go do something like get build a hotel or something, then start singing, then acting and there you go. Your a celebrity whether anyone likes you or not. But I think money shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Celebrity is solely a 'familiar face'. So get seen and that's all there is to it.
One small photo in Heat magazine is enough. Get celebrity status, then decide whether you're a singer/dancer/model etc.
I had the 'honour' of being a 'mystery brunette' with a Z list celeb friend in Heat a few years ago. Within 48 hours I was asked to go on one on the Big Brother back up shows.
The whole thing is totally stupid.

A celebrity to me is someone that has proved their worth ....... not making money out of their name
Paul McCartney yes - was famous with the Beatles
Sir Cliff - has made millions and is a superstar
Michael Jackson - yes had millions but has messed his life up
These lot on reality tv that have become "celebrities" are not celebrities .... they have had bit parts in TV shows most of them

Talent. there have been no true celebrities from big brother x factor etc as their only claim to fame is mild exsposure on shite tv, Kurt Cobain was a celebrity for example because he was truly talented

God knows. It seems all you have to do is go on a reality show and bobs your uncle. Gone are the days when flm stars were stars, footballers were real people and not prima donnas, Im actually sick of answering this question.

Obviously it isn't talent(i.e. Paris Hilton and Nichole Ritchie). But what makes them celebrities these days is being on E! 24/7 and being followed around constantly. IDK, it is just ridiculous.
