It is my personal opinion that Turkey should not be allowed to enter the E.U. because of a.)the still denied Armenian Genocide b.) their unfair human rights stance and c.) their laws on speech. Journalists have been put in prison for expressing their true feelings towards their government and society. What do you think?

Turkey will join EU in ten years ONLY IF:
Turkey accepts the Armenian Genocide.
Turkey opens the ports in Cyprus.
Turkey improves human right.
Turkey gives freedom of religion.
Turkey gives freedom of speech.

I completely agree, they first need to accept the Genocide of the Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks to satisfy the decedents of those that were unfortunately murdered for being Christian. Close to 3 million Christians perished.

I agree with you and would add the whole Cyprus situation where they don't want to use their influence in a positive way.
I'm all in favor of allowing Turkey in the EU but those issues need to be solved first.I don't want any country in the EU that doesn't fully suport human rights all the way

Well, is the EU any better. I can go to Germany right now and scream that the holocaust is a joke and get jail time. People in glass house ya know.

THE NAME ALONE SHOULD KEEP THEM OUT. THE WHOLE EUROPEAN UNION SHOULD DISBAND THEY DO NOTHING ANYWAY.
