Why the alliens died in the movie WAR OF THE WORLDS?

Like I thoughty I understood I thinks was cos many virus, but people are confusing me saying other things!

So someone knows exactly why they died?

The aliens died because they got sick from all the little bacterium and viruses that inhabit our earth. The message is that mankind has earned our right to live on earth because we have adapted to many many diseases. There is not necessarily one specific sickness that killed them. They all die because they had no immunities to any of the diseases on earth. They could have died from anything. The point is that humans have lived on this earth for a long time and can handle anything it can throw at us. We;ve survived two ice ages, many famines, droughts,floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and if we can survive all that and still thrive as a species, we can survive an alien attack.

I think because they were drinking so much human blood that eventually they got infected by a blood disease,probably AIDS.
