The problem is how do you define who is a terrorist.
Please consider:
If I invade and occupy your land, knock your house down and kill your family (wife and children) with my army, (State Terrorism).
I am so angry I get a gun and come back to kill you, but you have sophisticated weapons and bomb me from aircraft and tanks, so I make a bomb in a suitcase and leave it at your door or travel and put it in your country to prove a point that you are not invunerable.
I am a terrorist?
I am a freedom fighter?
I am taking revenge?
No one has moral right in this matter, it is once agian politicians manipulating the people for usually their and there assosiates own narrow benefit.
If we should kill all terrorists who defines who is a terrorist and how do you kill a state that practices state terrorism.
Remember this role was supposed to be the UN's but powerful countries ignore the UN and act unilaterally, and preemtive strike on another country is against International Law.
Who is the terrorist? Who is the Judge.
The problem today that we have slipped into is to believe "Might is Right"

Killing terorists just perpetuates the cycle of violence and creates heroes and martyrs. Remember that terrorists are not terrorists to themselves and those whose cause they serve, but freedom fighters. Judicial killing, in my view, and I know I am in the minority, removes us from the moral high ground we can occupy by demonstrating that killing is wrong.

The SAS exterminated a number of IRA personnel during the troubles in Ireland, and IRA hit men had their own successes from time to time. Any of these killings could be viewed as murder, dependent on your point of view.

I make no apologies for people who take innocent lives like those who did so on 9/11 and 7/7, but I would prefer to cage them safely where they could be reminded of what they did. That was indeed punishment for Myra Hindley and continues to punish Ian Brady to this day.

Caged prisoners can also be useful when negotiations take place to resolve whatever conflict led to the terrorist acts in the first place, as they eventually will have to, and the Good Friday agreement is an example of this. Could an agreement have been reached without the prisoner releases that could not have happened if the people concerned had been exectuted? No.

In any case, under European law we are not permitted to have a death penalty by statute for any offence, and that is why it was finally abolished here in the UK in 1998 and we stopped maintaining a working gallows.

Their punishment should be dying 3000 times for the victims of their attrocities. This isn't plausable, so something creative, terrible and unthinkable should apply to them. How bout this? The families of the victims of 911 or the London bombings can each submit their proposed punishment, and its like a lottery thing for each person to be executed. Might be drawing and quartering one day, a simple hanging the next.

The death penalty will not be restored. Kill terrorists on the streets or on the field of battle by all means.

my first thought was to ignore your question and not qualify it's stupididy with an anwer... thn i noticed your name: Explains it ll really, doesn't it.

It actually frightens me because my impression is most people in our country.......
i wont bother to go on for fear that you won't understand.

**That's rather a spurious and libelous accusation to make, don't you think?*** - and anyway, most of the IRA's funding was from the US....
Ans speaking of the IRA, the process over there should demonstrate to the world the way to deal with terrorists... a combined legal and police-based fight followed by reasoned discussion... not the death penalty for them and their families.... but i give up, your ignorance is a lost cause.
