I don't oppose it if it is done towards making the profession safer, and offering health benefit options to those engaging in this line of work. Prostitution is, for some women, one of the only work options.
If a woman chooses to work and gain self sufficiency - rather than living on the government dole - I think we should let her buy health insurance, let them have safer working conditions, and destigmatize the whole matter. Some (not all...) women marry so that they can be legally paid to provide sex to a regular client. They get coverage on their husband's insurance, and they get, in most cases, safe working conditions. Fair is fair.
I am not advocating reckless sex, or sex for sale. Nor am I criticizing marriage. I am simply advocating measures toward enabling something that's happening anyway to happen more safely and more respectfully than it has been so far.

some gave you the right answer. some feminists see it as a continuation of the exploitation of ladies people for adult men's entertainment. lots of the feminists contained in the 60s and 70s were adversarial to pornography (paradoxically, the religious anti-feminist actually have this in consumer-pleasant) and prostitution. They experience it 'objectifies' women people and it hinders progression for equality. i'm a feminist and that i'm for legalized prostitution and characteristic not something adversarial to porn. there's a kind of critiques on those themes between feminists. each and every feminist could have her own view on it. this is not an uniformed opinion. i imagine the more youthful feminists (lower than 40) are extra susceptible to being comfortable with prostitution and pornography.

Its legal in most European Countries where it is Government regulated and the girls have to have their health cards inspected regularly. Women in these countries can refuse to provide their service to a client.
Should a feminist oppose such action? I would think not, since it is empowering women to use their natural assets to create revenue at their whim because in the end it is their choice.

Umm, well yeah. Although I can't really seem to come up with a valid argument. It's still degradation of a "human being".
'Cause I heard not all prostitutes are women.

I think it should be legal, absolutely!!, but Pimps should be illegal, maybe it should be run like beauty salons run it where they rent a space. It would be interesting to see what people say about it where it is legal and what implications it has there.

Why would that make it okay? Women are not just sex objects to be used and abused. If we live in a society where we allow women to be treated in this manner, we devalue women.

I sure do. A woman is debasing herself. She is saying, "This is all I'm good for." "I'm not entitled to a better life." And, of course, she is being treated as nothing other than a sexual object.
