I used ice and benedryl, but still swollen, and my palm is now also sore. I never used pesticide or fertilizer on this plant.

Slight swelling, bruising, and tenderness around skin that has been injured is normal. Swelling and bruising that develops slowly over 6 to 12 hours usually means a minor injury. Pesticides and fertilizers would be the the least of your problems. It sounds like you have a bacteria infection that was introduced to your body when you broke the skin (your main source of protection). Get to a doctor and ask for antibiotics.
