Can you please tell me a little about the game and why you like it. I have a fairly modern computer so it should be able to play most things, except maybe real high end games.

For shooting games, my favourite that I have is "S.W.A.T 3" which has you commanding an L.A.P.D. S.W.A.T team while there a convention in town....... very therapeutic, firing off several rounds into some computer animated bad guys.

For Space games..... "STAR TREK: Star Fleet Command III".... purely 'cos I love STAR TREK games, and this is one of the best efforts yet. http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/star-trek-starfleet-command-iii/550089p1.html

For sheer addictiveness, then I recommended either "THE SIMS" or "POPULOUS: The Beginning". You tend to lose track of time playing either of these.

MICROSOFT Train Simulator is good too, if you have an interest in Trains http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsim/

I'll give u a couple games depending on what u like.

If your a shooter fan i definitely have to recommend Call of Duty 2. It takes place in world war 2 and it made me actually feel like i was there. There are also a lot of moments where u could just sit back and go, ".............wow"

If u like driving games, u should get Need for speed underground 2. I love the sense of speed. It'll really get your adrenaline pumping.

If you're into something a little more scary, get F.E.A.R. It's a shooting game but it scared the heck out of me so many times i'm embarrased to say how many. lol

There are many more games to look for that will give u a good time. give me an email at pieper_13@yahoo.com and i'll give u a whole lot more.

Don't get WoW, no matter what anyone says.

Ok, on my desktop at the moment is:
Civilization lV, a turn-based strategy game, great, just search for reviews if you're not familiar with the series.
SimCity 4, another strategy game, but different because it's all about city planning and building.
Age of Empires, just a classic strategy.
Rise of Nations, fantastic strategy game, in the same vein as AoE I would say, but units and campaigns span from stone age club wielding savages to stealth bombers and tanks.
Rome: Total War, kind of contains parts of all the above, you look after your cities, move armies and navies around on a map similar to Civs and fight with thousands of soldiers on screen at a time.

Now we have The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Oblivion, RPG games, both won many awards and for good reason.
Knights of the Old Republic (1 and 2) more linear than the above games but come one: it has lightsabres :D

And I've also got Half-Life 2 and CS: Source for FPS games, both great.
