I think the press is overly harsh, but that is a consequence of the career they chose. If you plaster your face all over God's green earth people are going to notice when you screw up. I don't think they have to set a good example because we shouldn't be looking to these people to be role models to begin with. I don't think these drunkards you speak of have any room to complain though. That's what happens when you drink. Nobody made them do that either.

I agree. But, you are correct. I think everyone has a right to their privacy and I know that celebrities should expect to be publicized however they do deserve their privacy also. I guess the fact that they make lots of money does have people saying that whatever happens to them is their problem, but lots of people make money they aren't always deserving of. And aren't we, the public, somewhat responsible for buying into their fame and fortune? I mean, after all, we pay movie ticket prices, we but their dvd's and stuff from their movies, etc. yet we continue to *itch about them and say they get what they deserve. No, I do not think they do. What if you won the lottery or a family member did something that made the news? Would they then deserve whatever they got from the media? I think not. Good question!

It is a proven fact through time that young people who get 'famous' mostly tend to have drink problems/drug problems and some emotional problems too!
It's quite sad really, these people, these kids are in the lime light when they are supposed to be growing up. It's not as bad now as it was in the 80's though - thankfully. The kids now are given more support and people talk more openly about drink and drug problems.
When they being this journey to stardom, they should be told about how this will affect the lives of them and family too. Not complain about photographed, after all, they are famous!

To be honest, Elijah has a point. Why would they get so drunk they probably don't have a clue about anything and then waltz outside to all the press and suddenly wonder what the hell the press is doing there!! Hello, you're celebrities!!! Think of your fans, for f**k sake!!! If you were a celebrity, would you let your fans see you like that!? Hardly role-model material!!

i think any celebrity complaining about being photographed is doing so just to get even more attention. That's why the saying goes "any publicty is good publicty" if they didn't want to be seen they wouldn't be out getting wasted in the public eye, besides most of what they do is mild, who hasn't gotten drunk and danced on a table, people just make a big deal out of it cuz it's fun to watch stars act like normal people................my opinion, they aren't anything special, they just have more money so they act like they are, **** celebrities

I do think that as teens they should be allowed to live as a teen would without the fame. however as a celebrity they are always on show to the world and therefore need to have a much greater self awareness. Their behaviour will influence others whether they want it or not.

I think that celebrities definitely should be better role models, but their poor behavior is a cataylst for those who are smart enough to find alternatives to look up to (scientists, philanthropists...those who are giving more to the world than entertainment).
Celebs tend to be pretty messed up people on the inside, I'll just give them that.
