I have fry that are almost four weeks old, and some of them are starting to show colors in their tails already. The fry I had born back in June are still developing all kinds of colors. So it will take quite a few months to see the complete color development.

You can start to see the sex at around 4 weeks in some guppies, but be forewarned - if you go to separate them, some females can change sexes to become males (I had this happen with my fry born in June).

Some people have reported their guppies mating as early as three weeks, but generally they won't start until 6-8 weeks.

It depends on how you keep them, what you feed them, and what temps they are. These things really do affect their growth.
But 3/12 weeks is normal... it can take up to 1.5 months before colour starts to develop and for them to be sexable.

If you want them to develop faster, put them in a large tank, with a heater, and keep the temps at 79-80F. Feed them baby brine shrimp, mosquito larvae and daphnia (as opposed to flake fish food - but feed some fish food, too). They will grow so much faster that! If you're already doing all that, well, all you can do it keep watching them. They will grow up eventually, but it can take over a month.

i imagine they initiate to reveal colour at 2-4 months. Mine are about 2 and a nil.5 onths and purely starting up to get their coloration. they could have children once they are finished grown. about six or seven months i imagine.
