I have many names some not so flattering but I tend to respond to those names in unflattering ways myself.
Funny that you should pick on the name "Forrest" and ignore the name "Gump". Gump is the name of a faerie king. Forrest Gump means forrest faerie king. It seems to be a metaphor for a person who can see the big picture, who can see the forrest for the trees. Stupid is as Stupid does but Forrest winds up a hero, a champion, a rich person with a beautiful child. See what I mean.
But nobody calls me Forrest.

A lot of people call me "forest", because I love to run, either because I'm bored, and there's nothing else to do, or if I just feel like staying in shape.
Thank goodness they aren't calling me GUMPY! LOL!

Yup, I have called myself that on occasion. My best friend picked up on it, and now calls me that. So she naturally became Jen-ny.
