It has been in the twenties for the last few days here in Oregon. My car has been outside, and I have not started it since Sunday. I tried to start it today. It attempted to start at first but immediately died. I tried starting it again and it just cranks and cranks but never turns over. I have decent mechanical abilities, so I just want to know if anyone has had the same exact problem. Please don't suggest I check the gas level, etc...preliminary issues have already been checked. Thanks in advance.

I sprayed some starting fluid in there and it started to kick over and the rpm's got up to about 500 and then it died. It continued to do this and nearly started, but the battery ran out of juice. I have it back on the charger now. I have had a Honda ignitor go bad before, and it wouldn't start at all. It has tried to start now, so I'm certain it's not that. Now I am leaning more towards a fuel issue. Still taking suggestions.

if you have a lot of miles on your sol,you probably already have worn piston rings which will shrink with the cold weather. Remember everything expands with heat and shrinks with the cold weather. If that's the case you are lacking compression which does not allow you to start your sol. I recommend you to go to an auto store and buy ether based cleaning gas. It is called either Quick Starter Fluid or Brake Cleaner, degreaser. It is a spray can and it is highly explosive. Open your air filter hose and spray it for about 3 secs. and crank the car. It should do it in cold weathers. hope it works out for you.

That elderly vehicle probable desires the electrical powered charging device's circuit over hauled and which could join the topic you're having now.you will could envision, for corrusion or rust and perhaps clean the device with a small report, fantastic sandpaper , small cord brushes the battery, starter, alternator posts, connections and connectors, plus the engine block floor, clean or replace any and all floor wires, plus use new screws and so on in connecting the grounds ,and create new floor wires or floor connections while their too rusty and so directly to get rid of.in case you go with to spend the time it quite is properly worth it to take out the relays , and fuses with the battery disconnected and clean their connectors, rather any fuses and so on placed under the hood. Plus clean , re-hollow or exchange the spark plugs , clean the connectors interior the spark plug wires with a flat head small screwdriver, in basic terms be careful to no longer scrape the cord itself interior the connectors and be constructive to scrub the ignition coil connectors too.Plus I fantastically advise changing the gasoline filter out rather in case you haven't any longer been changing it on a yrly foundation. do no longer even undertaking approximately any previous grounds in case you made up new ones as long as their no longer in the way and additionally you have it performed proper. i might for constructive have a loose charging device attempt performed too. wish that facilitates and better of luck.by making use of the way it would possibly no longer be a nasty theory to %. up a provider handbook for that vehicle. i might fantastically suspect the topic is regarding undesirable or corroded or rusty connections rather if the factors you have been changing are battery's , starters and alternators and so on.

If it's not your battery then check the igniter in the distributor.
