or theres a game we play where you write down on a piece of paper a name of a character and stick with sellotape to the forehead of each player and they have to guess who they are with one question per round

What about those dvd games? You can divide up into teams & sit around the tv & play together.
Buzz for the PS2 is really good - but unfortunately that is only for four players.
Or how about card games? Newmarket is quite fun - as is Switch. We play for pennies. Neither game is difficult.
Been struggling to find the instructions online though.
Newmarket seems also to be known as Michigan. In our version take the four kings out of a spare pack & put them on the table. You also put a bowl on the table (the pot). Each game costs 3p. Ip on a king of your choice, 1p in the middle (the kitty) & 1p in the pot.
It's really not difficult to play at all - we learnt as children.
Switch is also known as Crazy 8s ... again we learnt this as children but this game was more likely to cause tantrums & sulks than Newmarket - especially when someone continually got lumbered with the 'pick up twos'.
There are loads of other card games too ... there might be something you remember playing in your past.

Apples to Apples for sure! Scattegories is good too. I think they're both much better than Cranium and Pictionary. Trivial Pursuit is fun, but can be lopsided depending on who's playing. - - - Compatibility is another good game if you can find it.

well, i think that dvd games are fun like family fued or who wants to be a millionare, but, i also think that cranium is a really fun game. monopoly, or trivia persuit are really good too! have fun!
