It's all about personality. Action doesn't matter so much to Americans. For whatever reasons people preferred Bush's looks and his style of talking.
Americans generally don't moan over their own bad decisions, they just like complaining about everyone else.
That's why the country is such a failure these days.
John Kerry has a Jewish look which doesn't go far in the U.S.

No way in hell I did or would vote for Kerry. Though unlike many people today, I try not to view a single party as right or wrong. It is absurd to say that you will vote according to party before the candidate is even introduced. This is the exact thing that George Washington was afraid of happening. Our elections have nothing to do with candidates; it is a contest between two all-powerful parties and the people who blindly follow them.

I did vote for Kerry. I also voted for Gore. I'll vote for a Dem next Presidential election as well. I'm sick of these Repubs being in charge...they've done nothing to help this country - both at home and abroad.
