Actually the discharge of cervical mucous during ovulation is clear and very stretchy like egg whites, but it is not white in color. Pregnancy can occur right before, during or after ovulation. Checking cervical mucous is a great way to get pregnant, but it is not such a great way to avoid getting pregnant. Our bodies are not perfect, and there is a chance for a woman to ovulate more than once in a cycle. Also, cervical mucous is not totally accurate for the exact time of ovulation, and those days before and after when women are still fertile are not exactly predictable either. A woman's discharge does not give info on whether she is pregnant or not. You need to take a urine or blood pregnancy test to know that.
