Looks like we are helping out with your homework!

1. Biologically, gender refers to the sex of an animal, male/ female. Anthropologocially, it refers to the identification of social, cultural, or psychological dimension of a group of people, often referred to as masculine/ feminine or crossing boundaries (trans-gender) and how those people are supposed to act within the culture.

2. Question probably refers to something in your class. Private sects normally appear because of a belief that the culture as a whole isn't satisfying a need. Militia groups often believe the security in a country or region is not sufficient.

3. I would guess this question has something to do with body language and physical interactions.

4.Linguistics calles this phonemes.Sound of a language as represented (or imagined) without reference to its position in a word or phrase

5. Enculturation is learned through communication in the form of speech, words, and gestures.

6. Not really sure of the question: Foraging societies bring back their finds often to a chief or leader who then divides the goods up among the groups. How they store that food, I believe, depends on the culture.

7. Intensive Agriculture. Don't remember/can't find the exact word for that status of development.

8.Endogamous marriage is a marriage within a certain group, not necessarily a village.

9. The practice of a woman marrying one of her husband's brothers after her husband's death, if there were no children, in order to continue the line of the dead husband.
