The graphics card has its own memory, so it doen't matter what kind of RAM the motherboard has. This must be a really old motherboard. EDO RAM hasn't been used for quite a while.

Looks like you want to upgrade a very old motherboard. Its true that video ram has nothing to do with system ram. But i think that an older motherboard FSB speed will be very slow and that will negate the performance gain you want to achieve.

be conscious that it purely has one AGP Video card slot and three PCI-E... it would artwork yet there are a spread of negatives; you isn't waiting to Crossfire it with yet another video card, AGP is no longer supported (i'm no longer even sensible in the adventure that they replace those drivers now) and as somebody else stated, PCI function extra useful average...

System RAM and Video RAM dont have to match.

All you have to do is make sure your computer specs match the system requirements of the video card.

the ram type on the mobo has nothing to do with the type on the card .. all u got to worry about is the slot type supported ...
