I have a "not loyal, but turned loyal for you". In the bible, Peter denies Christ at the time when He really needed his friends, but then after Jesus rose from the grave, Peter learned from his own disloyalty and served Him for the rest of his life.

Catherine of Aragon was loyal to both her religion and her husband even when she was divorced from him by him. Very firm believer in Catholicism and the fact that she was his lawful wife no matter what.
