Hi

I'm doing a survey to find out what would be the things older people, from middle age onwards, would like technology to give them? What things do they need that they find hard to get ?
Feel free to brainstorm!
Some of my younger relatives are techno phobic compared to their older relatives as the internet is being embraced at a fast rate.
Many thanks

At 40, I guess I'm OLDER. LOL When did that happen? ;-b I'm pretty clued up with techno stuff as I live in a wheelchair adapted bungalow and have lots of gadgets to help me in my daily life. I do wish someone would invent something better to help me put my shoes on though! LOL The basic shoe horn is no good, even the long handle one, as my ankle doesn't flex enough to even put my foot in the stupid shoe! Anyone who could invent a "shoe-putter-on" would make a bloody fortune!!

For all those pathetic younger people who have no idea what older people think;
We still have brains that are set at 18 years old but with a wealth of experience. This means that whatever you are doing, we have probably done it even more times. We are able to make love better as have done it more times and are able to use our imagination to better effect. We've had the highs and lows and don't really need anything as we know where to get it and the best times.

And yes, hello to all those saddos whose lives are not complete unless they give a poor rating to something that they don't like to hear. Do you understand what brainstorm means or do you assume its what happens when you're on a trip.

My health, I hope that technology will find cures to most or at least some of the crippling diseases. I enjoy visiting with others over web cams, I see that technology continuing to the point that someone could actually take care of a aging parent from their home. Medical research along with technology may help crippled people lead a productive life through robotics.

Some of these (HA) people are cruel.
Their juvenal ignorance will get them later.
Mostof us, or at least many, are well off enough to afford most any thing technology has, But why?
I gave up super marrio because I completed it and the other games are and have been just junk.

To be treated with respect. To be treated as though we've got something to offer - which we have. Experience, brains.
At 47 I resent being made to feel as though I have no place on this earth.
