Yes, especially ultraviolet light. That's the primary reason why it's recommended that sunglasses are used in bright daylight. Your retina can suffer from sun damage just like how your skin can. Some forms of macular degeneration, which can lead to legal blindness, comes from this sun damage.

Ultra-Violet light yes. I do not know about infrared. It mostly depends on light intensity, but intense ultra-violet light burns the retina of the eye and leads to blindness. The sun is a great source of UV light. Stare at it long enough and you are blind. ultra-violet

I don't know if it can make you blind, but probably, because it can damage your retinas. That's why they make you wear goggles in tanning beds.
