If you were going to have a affair, would you rather it be with someone who is single or someone who is married? Why?

Married for sure. I would let my hubby know what I was doing even if I let the other think it was our secret but that's just how we are. Married men don't try to hang on as much as single ones and they have a lot more experience.
It sounds like you may be thinking of doing this. Don't listen to the righteous preaching on here, do what is best for you. Only you know what that is. Sometimes a weekend or just an evening away can do wonders for your home sex life. There are times when we just need a break from hubby and after a hot tryst I'm energized and really ready to go home and take care of my man.

It is better for them to be married just like you. That way you underatand each others problems better and you are on a more level playing field. Also, it is best, if you can to choose someone who has a much to loose as you do, if you get caught!!
Also there is the appreciation thing, single people don't always know what hard up is, they ought to try being married for ten or filfteen years. If you watch out who you are seeing you can also protect yourself from being exposed to too many people and thus sexually transmitted diseases. In general , most married people don't have a many partners, and if you sort of keep check on your lover's spouse, you can be more sure of having safe sex!! Good luck!! G

Well, I won't do it, but since you are asking it would PROBABLY be someone married, because affairs are supposed to be selfish and if the other person doesn't want a relationship beyond the affair then it is safer. Someone single would probably try to break up your marriage.
Since my wife knows my nick name on here, seriously babe - it's just a hypothetical!!!

Married. I want to be sure they have as much at stake as I do to keep the affair secret.
But I don't think two people can pull off an affair that never goes awry.

Single. No since getting four people killed. No, but seriously...single. The single person is more accessible, however, the married person is more understanding to your committments. In the long run the single person is probably more exciting.

i guess if i was having an affair just for sex it would probably be with a married man. that way there would be no strings attached.(never plan on having one though). i think single men would try and get to involved

Affairs occur long after the marriage is already in trouble. I never entertain the idea of infidelity. It is not a consideration ever for me.

Don't plan on having an affair....Thought about it in my previous marriage....didn't do it...
Would have been someone that wanted me. Don't think it would have mattered if they were married or not...

you are fishing for the answer that will condone your fooling around, aren't ya. Well is I ever fooled around it would be with a married woman. Why? because they just have that ability to go around the world in a bed and leave you wrung out.
