Try removing some rarely used programs from your start menu. These programs run automatically when you start windows up. There are probably some that have been downloaded from the internet. You'll see thier icons on your desktop or in the bottom right corner of your computer. If that does'nt work, go to my computer, then add/remove program to see if an unknown program has been downloaded to your computer and remove it. Additionally, you may just have to many programs going and not enough memory (RAM). You may have to quit some programs or erase your hard drive and start over. Make sure you save important files. I hope this works for you.

Try disabling unwanted/un-needed startup programs.
Select Start, then Run.
Type in msconfig
Select the Startup tab
Uncheck any programs that seem unnecessary.
If you find that you still need the program, you can always reapply the checkmark later.
