OK, so my best friend is going out with a guy in my math class. Every now and then, I catch his eye, and we will look at eachother for a few seconds and go about what we were doing. I keep catching him look at me and when people in my math class do things that would cause someone to laugh, he laughs and looks at me and tries to catch my eye again. Then he will quickly look away. I think he is flirting with me. He tries to get my attention, and I think he likes me. The truth is, I like him too, he has a great personality and he isnt too obnoxious or anything. He is also an athlete and he is really smart. I don't know what to do! I mean, my best friend isnt in my math class or anything, but if she ever found out that I like him and he is flirting with me, she would be really hurt. I have been friends with he since we were 5! I really don't know what to do, does anyone have any advise? And please don't say have him go out with both of us because that just wont work ou for the three of us!

You should tell your best friend and be honest. You should also tell her of your commitment to her and that you would never let this come between you. You are young and there are plenty of guys out there.

This guy who is dating your friend and flirting with you is not to be trusted. Stick with your friend and be honest about what is going on. This guy may be "cute" but his integrity is definitely in question. And take it from a guy, he does not want what is best for you or your friend. If he is flirting with you while dating her, he is only out for himself.

What's more important your well being or hers? If you're not happy what good is it to try to be happy for someone else. I can relate. I had the same situation with a friend of mine. I really, REALLY liked his grilfriend and she liked me just as much. I made the decision to approach her about it. So i lost a close friend, friends come and go. I never looked back. I've been with her for a while now and I've never been happier. It's just a matter of what you feel is right. If you don't want to hurt your friend than that's one thing but what matters is how you feel.

Just ignore him for now. It's possible that he's trying to catch your attention 'cause you're her girlfriend's bestfriend.

If she's truly your best friend leave the dude alone. Friends are way more important.
