well i think women do have it worse.. but only because men have "given up" their duty so to speak of "taking care" of their mothers, daughters and wives. currently women have to undertake the burden of
1) bearing children
2) raising family
3) supporting family
4) fighting against old stereotypes of being the "weaker" sex
5) being treated or seen like objects/slaves
and in *case* of single parenthood/deadbeat husbands:
6) getting education
7) getting career jumpstarted/moving up the ladder
the thing is, before when men had Chivalry and took care of women, they would be the ones Defending a woman's honor. nowadays, men are the ones treating them like objects and dirt, and yes many women Let them do it.... but that doesn't excuse the fact that men take advantage of that. so now women have fought back by learning to take on Male "roles" such as bringing home the bacon, making Head of the Household decisions typically done by the male.....
so now men have it pretty bad too, with a bad rep. but in order to fight that, they need to Re-evaluate what CHIVALRY is and stop trying to be so MACHO. they are quite the opposite. being manly has Nothing to do with pumping muscles and showing off and being rude to others; Being the best Man, father, husband he could be would show True dominance, and Command respect.
women have it pretty damn bad, but they handle it very well. i can't say the same for men so far... they have emasculated themselves.

We should not look at life as a "Who has it worse" and "who's the stronger sex" game. There is no stronger gender nor does one have a harder life than the other. Men and women need each other in order to survive. Without men, the world would end for humans. Without women, the world would end. Does it really matter who has it worse. We live on this planet together and will be stuck with each other until or end. So let's just say men and women are created equal. Anything a woman can do, a man can do. Anything a man can do, a woman can do. Sure, men don't have a period and don't go through child birth but men still can get kicked in the balls (which hurts like hell) and more men are involved in hard labor jobs where they work everyday lifting heavy stuff and working with heavy machinery like jackhammers and such. We are all equal in the eyes of God or whomever it was who created the universe.

I think things actually balance out.
Men have some things better, honestly.. but the bad things we take in stride and are knida forced not to complain about so it looks as if we are cruising through life. Men have the weight of the world on our shoulders it feels sometimes. If a marriage fails it is our fault but if it succeeds then it is because of your wife/family. Good fathers are often overlooked, especially on Fathers Day after mom gets diamonds he in turn gives his kids $50 to buy him a $12 tie. They tell you about 2 months ahead of time for mothers day and fathers day often passes without us knowing it. A stay-at-home mom whose kids are in school all day acts as if she is busy but really, there is not much to do. It does not take 8 hours to do the laundry and clean the house. Its great if she volunteers but she can't complain about being busy because it was she who CHOSE to volunteer.
Women have some things hard when it comes to workplace gender equality and domestic violence issues BUT unless a woman becomes a mother not much is demanded of her by society. Once she becomes a mother her life is not her own and the sacrifice that she endures is similar to what men are expected to do all of the time. While I agree men do not have to have babies and generally have not played a large role raising children women have historically not been expected to be a bread-winner for the family. A woman has largely had a choice while men do not have a choice. He can't take 2 years off to paint murals and find himself or delve into collecting baseball cards full-time while wives more often are afforded these pursuits.
After reading these posts something else comes to mind.. Women have no idea what men go through or even what we like and probably don't care when the average guy knows what women go through and what women like. Whether he does it is another thing but if you stop and ask any guy he can rattle off a list of things that women desire, need and appreciate. The average woman might get 1-2 and follow it up with an "I don't know what guys like, um.. guy stuff!" because they don't care enough to ask.

Women! I say this because we have periods and childbirth and other things. Of course men have it hard, they have to run the house and do all that "leader" kind of stuff, but who is the one who takes on that job when they leave? Women! Im not saying guys dnt get left by women and then have to take on both roles so to speak, but I see more single mothers than single fathers.

They both have good and bad. Most women would not want to be a man and most men would not want to be a woman. Men would not want to deal with child birth, cramps, periods and discrimination, harrassment, etc. Oh, wait, I think I just decided, women have it worse!

Women!!!!!!!!!!!!! Men don't have periods or have to go through child labor. Also women are treated unfairly. Women get paid less at jobs a lot and there is still the stereotype that men are better then women. I don't think women are better then men I think we are all equal and no one is better thean the other.

nicely i will absolutely talk from my experience and from what i have said with different ladies my age (19), adult men damage ladies extra. such various of situations me and my acquaintances have cried into the wee hours of the morning mutually over what a guy has performed to us. as an party, say he cares about us and likes us, he does stuff with us then breaks up putting forward he can't commit in simple terms on the point after we've fallen for him. this is merciless and chilly. Then the subsequent day we see him with yet another lady and he pretends we do not exist...that hurts. What you've defined is an undesirable ingredient for a lady to do yet i imagine this is plenty rarer than the variety of heartache adult men reason us.

Men. This is because women who stay out of jail never have to go without sex for too long.

Neither: society is getting worse. Women are out working more. Men are increasingly becoming deadbeats.
Where does that leave our children? It leaves them walking through metal detectors every weekday morning at school.
Where does that leave me? Single, thank goodness.

Women. Hands down. You get the cramps, childbirth, objectification. Men have it tough, but there is no real comparison
