IE's technology, it doesn't matter what version it is, is just to dangerous to keep using.
United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

These vulnerabilities equal spyware and viruses an your computer, stolen ID etc.

I don't know anything about Firefox, but I do know that for the last month, there has been an average of at least 20 people a day that are asking questions about how to get rid of IE7 or asking how to resolve problems of IE7 etc. Apparently, it is doing that well...

- Safer (in many people's opinion)
- Overall better

I use Firefox on my laptop.
Cleaner interface
Better password management.
Faster
If you notice the new IE7 looks alot like Firefox. Think Microsoft is worried???

More stability, more HTML compatible, and better features are the most common reasons, but I agree completely that Opera is even better.
