There are not enough words in our vocab to define this four letter word. To try is to fail, why not then just enjoy the ebbs and flows of this glorious, frustrating, painful, exquisite, emotion as often as possible and one day perhaps on our death beads we will have the answer in the presence of those who love us for from birth to death we give and receive love usually unquestioningly, so just enjoy.

Read... read... read... and if you must, read the following:
Eric Fromm's: The Art of Loving
Rollo May's: Love and Will
Kahlil Gibran's: The Prophet
Corinthina's 13 (Bible)
Good luck on defining this elusive but life sustaining emotion.

Children, that's the only true love in the world that I have found. The love that exists between a parent and a child.

Love is the ultimate expression of and desire for the well-being of another. It often entails self-sacrifice and devotion with a self-less expression in the form of actions that portray vividly this love. It can be seen in the love of country - where a soldier gives his life for his country. It can be seen in matrimony where one forsakes all others and clings for the rest of his/her life to the one he/she loves. It is, however, best expressed by God Himself in the Holy Bible - John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

no, i cant define love. that is because to me love is undefined. there are different types of love: love for a child, love for a car, love for a friend, soul mate love..... love is different for each person, love can change and mold into something new, there are different depths of love, love can fade, love can grow. language just isnt good enough to describe love. music can be closer to describe it, but nothing comes near experiencing it for yourself. once you have felt love, you will understand why it cant be defined

I think love as a friendship and a binding ... to have someone to talk to .. To tell someone your dreams and hopes and fears... To be there for someone when they are at there lowest or highest moment in life ..
and no matter what just be a friend..

words could not do "love" justice... the only thing I can say is the way it changes a person body and soul, is perfection itself
