always wondered why not more Italians think like you-. Of course-original Latino but not the only ones, since Hispania (a Roman word) colonized much of the world-latinizing it. One fact you may not know though, but we forgive, is that Mexico received many Italians from the dictatorship of Benito Mussolini, known as Italiano-Messicano. They have their own little villages throughout MX such as Nueva Italia. Among these Italiano Messicanos are: Luis Miguel, Daniel Mastretta, and Chef Cesar Cardini-whose homemade salad dressing creation-known by his own name-and first served at his restaurant in Tijuana, has become world famous. One thing that people love about italmexis is that they are so good looking, while so amiable, yet the most down to earth and humble Italians-

Latin:Of, relating to, or composed in Latin: a Latin scholar; Latin verse.

Of or relating to ancient Rome, its people, or its culture.
Of or relating to Latium, its people, or its culture.
Of or relating to the languages that developed from Latin, such as Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, or to the peoples that speak them.
Of or relating to the peoples, countries, or cultures of Latin America.
Of or relating to Latinos or their culture.
Of or relating to the Roman Catholic Church.

Anglo:In contemporary American usage, Anglo is used primarily in direct contrast to Hispanic or Latino. In this context it is not limited to persons of English or even British descent, but can be generally applied to any non-Hispanic white person. Thus in parts of the United States with large Hispanic populations, an American of Polish, Irish, or German heritage might be termed an Anglo just as readily as a person of English descent.
Technically speaking,Mexicans are Latin, they came from Spain!Read up on your history!

It might interest you to know that many Mexicans are mixed with Italian "Mexico has received immigration from Italy since colonial times". A few of my good friends who are Mexican-American have Italian surnames, such as Moretti, Fregoso and Esposito to name a few... Here's a link so you can begin educating yourself before speaking... that way you sound half-way intelligent when you try to make a point. Also, Mexicans are NOT "Indios" as somebody else pointed out, they are "Mestizo" in other words "mixed-blood" AND spell check, the word is "MEXICAN"

Lack of true understanding of language value. It is unfortunately true the press in general makes the rules as to appropriate term usage and once set in motion it is a ball of twine not easily undone. You could start a grass roots movement to correct this egregious error but be aware it may take decades to correct the application of proper racial definitions. Good Luck!

Full blooded. Riiiiight. Because, obviously, it's not like the Germanic tribes never invaded the peninsula or the Arabs and Normans never hit Sicily. Right...

Well mexicans are not "indios" actually..they're "mestizos" (Mix of Indian and European)
By the way, not only mexicans are called "latinos" Spaniards are called latinos too, and they don't have indian blood at all.
