I want to make a cutomized monopoly board for myself, then a wanna make a template of the way I customized it so I can make it into a gift for christmas. I figure if you buy a basic monopoly game for $20 I could just paste another board overtop somehow. then just redesign new cards printed on strong paper and I would be set. Please gimmie some help on this one. I thought about using window clinger material too. There is also a "make your own opoly" borad game but it's really lame and inaccurate.

The key here is to preserve the numbers in the game. As long as you keep the prices, rents, taxes, etc. all the same, then you can change anything you want.

I once made a pretty good board game back in school - I ended up using a combination of cardboard, paper, markers, and laminate. I think you can do something similar. I don't see a way around making a new board each time, but you should be able to electronically make the chance & community chest cards (and of course the deeds). You can buy Monopoly money separately (I have purchased a pack of money for my sister for Xmas) so maybe that is the best way to go for that route.

One more thing! I think it will have a LOT of appeal if it is "handmade", more or less. I would resist the temptation to make it too streamlined a process. It shows that you're putting in a lot of effort.

Hope this helps!

Well the piece would be easy. It's a neat little (and fully functional) doomsday weapon. As for the properties... Well, it seems you've already built my Taquito Emporium, so I'll hafta go with Crazy Chili's Discount Doomsday Weapon Superstore!!!! Retailing at a sensible $500!!!

You could try the "make your own opoly" thing and change it from what it has to what you would like to do. but if that doesnt work i think you should look on the internet to make customizable stickers (not the cheap *** kind either) and just change the board with the stickers. Get a really big one for the board.

Use white contact paper with your design on it. You can buy card stock at an office supply store (like Staples) for the cards. You might want to print them up on the computer. Sounds like a cute idea! Don't forget to use pawns that reflect your theme.
