Is it possible to find out if a recently deceased relative has left a will ? Thank you.

If you're in it, you will be contacted. Otherwise, after the will is probated, it will be a public document-- you can contact a local probate court to figure out how to see a copy.

I would inquire with the county probate court where the person died, and if different, where the person lived at the time of his/her death. Usually, the will must be made a matter of public record.

However you should check the local probate court, talk to your relatives' attorney(if he had one), and finally search the premises where your relative have lived.
However, Sometimes the will is so well hidden -- it is never found.

If they were smart it should be filed under Misc at the county clerks office.
