You may or may not like this answer.

We pretty much think of you as one of us.

For better or worse we are very similar. We share a more or less open border and we take you for granted as I suppose you take us for granted.

I think Canadians really "are" Americans and there is not so much difference between us. We share the same Continent and to a large extent the same language. What is not to like? Oh granted there are some complaints about Canadian drivers but then what do you expect in a country that has a very low population for the land mass covered and many many two lane roads. Sure Canadians may take risks passing that we would not consider down here but then up there there really isn't another car just around the corner in most cases.Besides the Canadian drivers usually pull over for faster cars so that passing is a no brain-er. The US types are more likely to hold their course and speed as is directed by most US law and let pass who may unless there is a back up of vehicles. That has been the only complaint I have heard on an ongoing basis. Other wise, Canadians are generally better educated on leaving school in the lower grades al least and much more knowledgeable on the world situation including environmental issues. Again, what is not to like? We are all brothers and sisters in this world any way and our neighbors to the North are particularly good ones. We Love ya Canada!

Jealous that you get free medical care. I pay over $300.00 a month for health insurance that has a high co-pay, high deductible and low customer service.

Really, I like canadians and consider you as the 51st state.

I don't know many personally, and would not judge an entire nation of people based on the few I have met (they were nice, by the way). People are people - every nation has their good and bad.

Canadians are OK, but the problem I have with them is their permissive government. It seem that you have an 'anything go's" policy, and I think it is harmful. Oh, and the French....now they really suck. But Canada and it's people, for the most part, are wonderful, and for all of our respective faults, we compliment each other well.

I love our friendly neighbors to the north. They make great beer and the chicks aren't as MTVized as the US.
