No they don't.
Your hair and nails do not grow after death

More to the point your skin retracts and your body fat decays away. Revealing the nail or hair below. Causing the appearance of growth.

Hope that helps

i wish this MYTH would die! ALL growth stops at death.cells need blood supply to grow.no heartbeat=no blood supply=pooling and coagulating of blood=putrefaction=decay=dead as a doornail.occasionally, nails and hair of a corpse APPEAR longer after death.it is an ILLUSION,caused by the fact that the body will eventually dehydrate after death.the skin around the scalp and nailbeds shrink and pull back, exposing more of the nails, and making hair and nails look longer.as the lips and gums shrink, teeth will look longer as well.its not part of a life(growth) process, its a hallmark of death and decay.

Once your dead your bodily fuctions cease. The hair and nail growth is somewhat a myth. It's actually the skin receeding giving the appearance that the hair and nails are still growing.

Once you are dead every bodily function cease to function.Hair and nail does not grow after someone dies. When the skin shrinks, it gives the impression that hair and nail is growing but it's not.

At your death, your hair and nails cease to grow. As the tissues lose moisture and shrink back, it can give the illusion of growth ... but they do not grow.

(Imagine what all the cemeteries would look like if the opposite were true ... wow!)

you're hair and nails don;t grow after death. when you die, your skin starts to decompose, and therefore, it shrinks. The hair remains the same length, but because your skin is trying to retract and decompose, it appears to "grow". Smae thing for your nails.

It is a myth that hair and nails grow after one dies. It is their scalp and tissue shrinking that causes the illusion.

That is a myth, it was proven that your body decays and pushes out the nails and hair that were already produced. So however long you decay for, and however long your hair will survive before decaying itself.

Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't...

It's just that your skin, scalp, cuticles, etc. start to dry out and recede, making it SEEM as if the hair and nails keep growing.

It doesn't. The skin shrinking back makes it look as if it continues to grow but that is not true.
