Beware that some of the theatres don't have an evening performance on New Years Eve only a matinee. Not all thugh it has to be said. If you go to www.lastminute.com there will be a listing of all the available shows, times and ticket availability.

There is always a firework show by the Thames at midnight and you could take them to see that if you don't mind huge crowds. I'd avoid Trafalgar square as there's lots of teens and younger people and it may be too rough and crowded for very young children.

We tend to go on one of the Original London Walks with the children (you can find their details online) and then we go down to Brick Lane for a meal. Your hotel will probably be a good place to have a drink, a dance and see the New Year in also.

It's playing in London's west end at, "Her Majesty's Theatre". It's been there for 20 years, and is the origional production, but (of course) not the origional cast! Right next store to the theatre is an American sports bar and hamburger joint that's open late (till 3am) and you can take the kids in for burgers and chicken wings! We had a really good time!
