Court marriage in India is being solemnised under the Special Marriage Act,1954 according to which after both the parties (both bride & bridegroom) to marriage file an application to the marriage registrar who affix notice regarding this marriage on the notice board of his office & sent a copy to the marriage registrar under whose jurisdiction other then his if one of the party actually reside. A copy of such notice is also sent to the parents of the parties.

This will depend on few things.

Any "Minor" cannot get married.

Minor is defined, differently, in different location, Community rules and regulations applies. Central/Federal, state and local laws also is applicable.

You must check with the court they must have posted the regulations. They must give you a copy of it by request. If you do not understand the law or rule, ask the clerk. He may just try to explain you. He may say see a lawyer.

Notice laws are the same way, I now that they have 1 month notice requirement in at least one location(Bombay,India) Mass state had blood test requirement at one time.

Yes after you put the application they sent a notice to both local register office (Boy and Girl) not to the parents. if anybody have any complaint within 15 days the marriage will not be done.

first done notice and after one month do the marriage
