some people have a much higher quality of life than others; for some life is a constant struggle and it wouldn't even be so bad if this were a financial struggle rather than an emotional one.

I guess what I'm really asking is...that there is the point beyond which you can't go and you just have to admit it to yourself that this is your life and certain things will never change. so how do you do that and feel good about it; it's basically like lying to yourself.

I think I recently came to that point... This is it it ain't gonna get any better and probably will go down hill from here and here is pretty far down already... I don't feel good about it but in some ways Its liberating...One thing is for sure I no longer fear death. But you never know what a day might bring... You could get that dream job or meet that special someone or whatever at any moment. Life has been a constant struggle for me. I was abused in everyway imaginable as a child both inside and outside of the home. I've been in Prison 3 times and 7 felony convictions all for drugs. Last time I got out I figured I had to find something else. With a record like that even the AA degree I had managed to earn along the way was no good. So I decided to follow a lifelong desire to be an artist and started learning to blow glass. I'm a fast learner and I'm not bad for having only been doing it for three years but I'm 37 and the clock is ticking and I'm just starting to be able to make money at this and there ain't that much money in it neither. Things would have to get alot beter soon in order for me to ever retire. I'm starting to think about things like "what will happen to me when I'm old and sick?" I have no children or family. You come to this spot I guess and just accept it. This is as good as it gets. You don't have to feel good about it, its not fair that some have everything and others have nothing and never will. You just have to numb yourself to it.

Yes it is sad to say but there is a limit to what a person can do, it is nice to say that there is no limit to what you can do, but you have to be realistic about it.
There are limitations in life, and all the person can do is accept their life and make the best of what they have.
Still what some has is better than others and vice verse, you just have to accept what situation the person is in and once they do they will find that they have a lot more peace than trying to struggle against the current.

Just remeber ife isn't a race. We don't al start at the same place and we aren't all going to finish at the same place. Study sociology and you will realize how much you are a reflection of your familial cicumstances and society. THen ask youself if you've done the best you could with what you had and fix what you can and go to bed with a clear conscious.

Of course, and the sooner you do that the sooner you can get on with it.

Unless I'm misinterpreting your question: You can always better your situation no matter where or who you are. You can always move to better your life. But you first have to accept who and what you are and what you are capable of.

Find your gift and explore it.

God bless,

It's called acceptance. You have to take things as they are and try to make improvements.
