You are right with that one. The other day I heard from a friend who I have not spoken to in years. The first thing she asked was "Are you Still married!" I responded with 'Yes' to al lher questions. She then went on with "You are?, are you Happy"? this type of reactions are questionable and make you wonder that people are Just so used to hearing the Worse.

That way if the worst happens they're ok with it, but if the best does then they can delight in that, too. It's a positive mental health exercise I'd say.

They do that because they aren't aware that it works much better to think the other way . If we intend to have something turn out good it does , and if we expect the worse, that's what we get .
