Actually in case you've forgotten, last year I left beer and mince pies out for you. Be doing it again this year. Might leave some whiskey for you this year instead of beer through. Cold winter night, you gotta have some warmth.

Well Santa, I hate to disappoint you, but I will not be leaving any food items out in room temperature this year.

See, I took this thing called a microbiology class, and it has since become my passion. I have decided to even major in this subject.

In microbiology class, we learn that there are billions of these tiny little things called bacteria that live in and on all kinds of things, including milk. Not knowing your arrival, it's not good to leave milk sitting at room temp for longer than about an hour. That wouldn't even give me time to fall asleep so that I didn't hear you come in! Plus, I would feel bad if I made you sick and then I might not get what I want for Christmas :)

So...I'd be happy to leave you a gift card to the local grocery store so you can pick up some cookies and milk when you are finished doing all your traveling Christmas Eve. :)
