The rest of the world might have, because it did not happen to them, they have no sentimentality for it. America has not. Some people still live in paranoia about another attack, while others are just living their lives as normal.

No body has forgotten 9/11. It's kinda hard to. It's even harder to let politicians use that tragedy as excuse to manipulate the general public and set us up for even worse 9/11's in the future.

I guess the bottom line is just that we have a different perspective on why 9/11 was important and what we should be doing in response to it.

Well at least that's my perspective.

To Walker: We lost THOUSANDS of lives that day. How is it even comprehensible to be 'overdramatic' about losing THOUSANDS of lives?!?!? What happened was REAL, not an episode of 'Survivor'... I didn't lose anyone on 9-11, but I am affected by it every single day! I'm NOT overdramatic because of what happened! It DID happen! You can go back in your little time machine and PRETEND all you want that the world is being overdramatic over the loss of thousands of innocent lives, but the truth is, we can't go back and you're an inconsiderate *** to think 9-11 was as meaningless as you're trying to make it to be. Grow up and live for a reason, man!

No but there are terrible things that happen in the world every day.
What would make you think that people had forgotten about it? It seems to get mentionned all the time still! It was 5 years ago. Imagine you lived in Israel or Baghdad. We have it easy!

If we act like we can't recover from what happened 5 years ago, the terrorists win. That's the point of terrorism, they scare people to get national attention for their own problems. So, I know a lot of people died, and it was a tragedy, but that's life. As my friends would say, "Life's tough, get a helmet!" and then they would hit you in the head.

No one will ever forget that day, but sometimes it's best to leave the past where it belongs - in the past.
