I have noticed that on any given day the majority of panhandlers are white male and look to be in good phisical shape and about 20 yrs old

I live in a city that is etremely multi cultural - Not a lt of blacks or Orientals begging for change and sleeping on sewer grates - A handfull of natives here and there but the vast majority I see are young white men .

Is it that way in your city ? Have you ever noticed homlessness and race ? What if anything does it mean and why is it so politically incorrect for me to point out the obvious ?

Total mix where I am, mostly black, white then Hispanic. The young guys in their 20s are usually heroin addicts around here, especially the ones who are white. There's a number of old Polish men who are drunks. A lot are disabled but many suffered some sort of injury because of their homelessness (losing hands from frostbite, limbs from infection, etc..) The "crazies" are also racially mixed but most seem to be in their 40s or so. Not a lot of women, Native Americans or Asians on the street. The Asians are usually elderly Chinese women who collect recyclables for cash. I don't actually think the Chinese women I see are homeless, just poor.

It is not that way in my city. Most of the homeless around here are a mix of white, black, and hispanic. Most of them appear to be able-bodied but older between 35-55.

It really only makes sense that you would see more white homeless people since they make up a larger percent of the population (and here is a racist but true comment -- the hispanics have homes because they share them with five families).

In my city I'm seeing more white teenager girls and elderly woman sleeping on the streets and all different races collecting bottles and cans and what-nots. What it means? I think billions of funds are spent on the war, on the destruction of our planet, rather than saving mankind. That might be politically incorrect to say to a President or a Prime Minister, but not to me
